Last weekend we headed upstate, Beacon, to visit some friends who moved there a few months ago. Someone calls it the New Brooklyn - something we definitely could see walking through the Main St of the little town. Seen Gilmore Girls? It definitely felt like we were in it. Cute coffee shops, diners, fresh air, donut shops, cute bars and a local farmers market were some of the stuff we got to explore on our weekend there. Last stop was of course DIA Beacon. A classic
We always take longer walks with the dog in the fall - Brooklyn looks really good in fall colors…
We’ve been kinda busy lately - with work, travel and filming Inga’s directorial debut !!
Last weekend of September we finally shot the short ‘The Nice Place’ and are now in the post production period - which always takes longer than you think, but hey, we want it to turn out great. We were so lucky to work with so many talented and great people, and hopefully the result will be satisfying.

The day Josh realized he should be wearing a suit every damn day.
Strolling around the colorful neighborhoods of Bed Stuy, Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.
Looking at all the 'for sale' and 'open house' signs.
Finding new restaurants.
Bickering about how far we should walk.
Taking photos of the same houses, over and over again.
Realizing the dog is getting tired - walk home again. Wishing the plants on our stoop would grow faster.
Inga's favorite activity - hanging out at coffee shops. Especially coffee shops that looks like this.
Devoción in Downtown Brooklyn. Perfect spot to hang out with friends enjoying good coffee. but also a perfect spot to get some work done.
The morning walks are getting longer.
The trees are getting greener - the colors are getting stronger.
One day it's cold - the next it's uncomfortable hot.
We're drinking iced coffee instead of hot coffee.
We've planted more flowers on our porch.
Balder wants to be outside all the time.
We have not been out of town since December 29th, 2017 - not that long really, but we both needed a getaway for inspiration. It's been a cold winter where we've been unfocused - taking photos and writing too little. It's time to take this blog more serious than we have, and it's time to post more shit about ourselves.
This weekend Inga was invited by a friend, Katie, who is participating in a residency at Elaine De Kooning's house in The Hamptons. It was great to get to see her work, and it was great to be inspired by the beautiful, strange house, the talented artist that stays there, and the quietness of staying in a house in the middle of nowhere.
Here's to 2018 being more productive and fun.

Christmas is a big deal for Inga - Christmas traditions are the best traditions. The decorations, Santa, the coziness, (Hygge) the gifts and everyone gathering around the table to eat and drink lots of awesome stuff.
Every year Inga plans to go to Norway for Christmas - Norway has the best christmas celebration, but every year (so far in our relationship) it has not worked out. This year we went to Jamaica with Joshua's family instead. Not too shabby either, it was time for Inga to see where Joshua's parents grew up - but we didn't see one Santa. We did eat and we drank a lot of pina colada's, and good rum.
